How will you be funded?

Private Funding

The majority of our residents are privately funded, paying the cost of care themselves. If this applies to you we will provide you with a fully costed care package based on your care assessment and your personal preferences as described below.

Our terms are that the fees are payable monthly in advance and are non-refundable. Terms and conditions of care are regulated by a standard contract, a copy of which is available on request.

Local Authority Funding

Whilst the majority of residents in our home are private, we do have social services and NHS clients. If you are fully funded a few of our beds are available within the fee levels that local authorities are able to meet. However, most rooms are available if funded with this contribution and a relatively modest top-up from private or family resources or a one-off payment to a care fees scheme.

How much does first class care cost?

Everyone’s needs are different so your care requirements will be assessed specifically for you as an individual as will your own personal preferences. In this way we’ll be able to provide everything you need and want in your life at Mountside.

However, as a guide for people paying privately for residential care and choosing a standard room, the fee is £850 per week. Mental health and dementia care is £850 - £950 for a standard room.

We have a variety of rooms with some being more spacious or having superior views and/or other additional facilities. These are available with a supplement to the standard room fee depending on the room.

What is included?

Your fee includes all the essential things needed to keep your loved one comfortable and well cared for:

  • Fully furnished bedroom accommodation
  • All meals, beverages and snacks
  • Full laundry service
  • Full housekeeping services
  • Activities and recreational programme
  • Use of communal lounges and facilities
  • Access to and use of communal grounds/gardens
  • WIFI access across the building
  • Use of library books
  • Heating and lighting
  • Religious services
  • All personal care and support services
  • Access to and use of any aids and/or appliances according to individual needs, including hoists, wheelchairs, walking aids and assisted bathing and shower facilities
  • Dedicated Key Worker to support individual needs and preferences
  • Private referrals to physiotherapy and occupational health services
  • Co-ordination of all social and healthcare appointments
  • Access to GP services
